Matthew B. Tuohy

Matthew B. Tuohy is a partner in the law firm Palermo, Palermo & Tuohy, P.C., where he focuses on criminal defense. He graduated from Villanova University with a Bachelor of Arts degree and went on to earn his Juris Doctor (law degree) at Widener School of Law in 1997.

Following his graduation Mr. Tuohy joined the Legal Aid Society of Suffolk County where he was employed as a public defender through 1998. He then joined the law firm of Stephen Cohen and Associates. Mr. Tuohy joined his current law firm in 1999 and quickly became a partner by 2000 due to his dynamic legal talent and vast experience in criminal defense.

Since joining the law firm in 1999, Mr. Tuohy has successfully represented thousands of people charged with crimes. He is experienced in all aspects of handling a criminal case including trials and plea negotiations. Mr. Tuohy has also successfully tried important criminal cases receiving not guilty verdicts for his clients.

Mr. Tuohy has devoted his entire career to criminal defense and believes that it is his vast knowledge of the criminal justice system coupled with his aggressive approach to legal defense that allows him to obtain the best possible results for his clients.
